Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of SocratronAI (the “Service”), operated by M/S TextAve Software. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SocratronAI is an AI study assistant. You may upload your own study materials (such as PDFs) or use library sources we make available, then generate summaries, flashcards, quizzes, study plans, and tutoring-style answers for personal study.

We do not sell or redistribute textbooks as a marketplace. Library titles are limited to sources we are permitted to offer (for example openly licensed materials). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any document you provide.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your email secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content you do not have rights to use
• Distribute malware, illegal content, or material that exploits minors
• Attempt to break security, scrape other users’ data, or abuse rate limits
• Submit AI-generated answers as your own work in exams, graded assignments, or any context where that would violate academic integrity or applicable rules
• Generate content for fraud, harassment, or other unlawful purposes

“Snap” and similar tools are for learning and explanation. You remain responsible for how you use outputs.

4. AI outputs

Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify important information against your course materials. We do not guarantee grades, exam results, or academic outcomes.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (such as Pro) are billed through our payment partner Lemon Squeezy. Prices shown on our site should match the checkout price. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for refunds and how to cancel.

6. Intellectual property

You retain rights to materials you upload. You grant us a limited license to process those materials solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your uploads. Study outputs generated for you may be used by you for personal study; you must still respect third-party copyright in source materials.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request account deletion, email [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
